A new awards scheme is being created to recognise the many 'unsung heroes' of classic and kit car clubs. This spring, Footman James will partner with the Westfield Sports Car Club (WSCC) to bring you the 'Spirit of the Club' awards.
Footman James, who specialise in kit car insurance, will sponsor the event which takes place in May.
All members of the WSCC are eligible for the top honour regardless of the value or condition of their car. The prize, a bespoke decanter, will be presented to an individual who has attended club events and worked selflessly for the benefit of the club over the year.
Nominees will be put forward by current members of the WSCC; the club executive will then be given the tough task of selecting the final winner.
Director of Footman James, David Bond said: “From our work with the many clubs we know just how hard these stalwart members work to ensure the classic and kit car movements continue to thrive.”
The lucky winner will be announced at the National Kit Car Show over the bank holiday weekend of 3rd and 4th May.
The exclusive award will also be presented by leading classic car and bike clubs such as Mercedes Benz Club, Vintage Motor Cycle Club, Jaguar Enthusiasts Club and Club Lotus in the coming months.
