Footman James will be sponsoring the Collection of the Year category at the third annual Royal Automobile Club Historic Awards taking place on Thursday 25th November. The awards are a continuation of the club’s more than 120-year pedigree in recognising motoring accomplishments.
The Royal Automobile Club Historic Awards consist of eight categories that reflect the breadth and diversity in the automotive industry.
The Collection of the Year award aims to recognise British-based vehicle collections amassed by private individuals to large and small museums. In this category, the award will be presented to a British-based collection that has made a significant contribution to the historic motoring movement in the UK or internationally during the eligibility period. Examples include public-facing activities held in a museum or through sharing the vehicles from the collection at public events, or creative virtual events/seminars etc, that have allowed a wider audience to participate online.
Other award categories include Competitive Event, Innovation, Motoring Spectacle, Outstanding Journalism, Personality. Restoration and Young Achiever and Lifetime Achievement Award.
